Historical sister-province agreement signed!

FinC Trade Platform have facilitated the creation and signing of the first-ever sister-province agreement between Finland and China when Uusimaa and Zhejiang signed on 25 March 2019.

There was huge media coverage on China side, when Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Mayor Ossi Savolainen and Chairman Markku Markkula led the Uusimaa delegation to Hangzhou met with Governor Yuan Jiajun for cooperation discussions and the signing ceremony.

Cooperation topics included in the agreement include those of Technology and Innovation, Education, trade, tourism and cultural exchange.

Cities and municipalities in the Uusimaa Region can benefit hugely from this cooperation agreement at provincial level. More information available from FinC Trade Platform and the author.
